Improvement Installation
With the audit now performed, there is a clear direction on where to save energy in your home. With this information, if you desire, PES can help you with the following;
Air sealing: Perhaps the most overlooked but also most important improvement that can be made to your home. Dept. of Energy studies have shown up to 20% of your home's wasted energy is through air leaks. Our trained and certified installation crews use a variety of materials and techniques to reduce excess air penetration.
Insulation: With cellulose, 2 part foam, or a combination of both, our crews can bring your home's insulation R values up to Dept. of Energy’s guidelines.
Windows & Doors: We focus on quality windows and quality window installation to help lower energy bills and reduce outside noise.
Heating & A/C: Dept. of Energy and EPA figures show that 50% or more of your home’s energy use is due to heating and cooling. Choosing and installing the right equipment is a priority and PES can help you with this very important process.
Hot Water Production: Heating water is very expensive. The bigger the family, the more hot water needed, but even in a two person family the old water tank in the basement everyone is familiar with is a thing of the past. Today the options of tankless heaters or heat pump heaters offer efficiencies that can create hot water at a fraction of the cost. Allow PES to help you choose the correct heater and install it for you.
Duct Sealing: If your home has heating and cooling ducts, every time your heater or A/C unit comes on, these ducts pressurize. With that increase of pressure, any leak in your ducts probably sends air that you paid to condition into areas that waste that high cost conditioned air. With special mastic sealers, our crews can minimize those losses and help your HVAC systems run more efficiently.
Indoor Air Quality: Pollutants and excess moisture in your indoor air can contribute to a variety of aliments or adverse building structure conditions. Controlling and filtering the air that enters your home and removing excess moisture by means of HRVs, ERVs, electronic air filters, properly vented bath and kitchen fans will help keep your family healthy and your building structure safe.
